January 2010 desktop wallpaper

Smashing Magazine published another creative inspiration.  Check it out here.  Download it and share it with your friends and family.

I designed this wallpaper for inspiration and encouragement for one of the best years of life ever.

December desktop wallpaper

Hey… Smashing Mag published another design inspiration.  The title is Seek Him.  Glory to God… forever.

Wise men (and women) still seek Him. Have faith in God.  Because with Him all things are possible.  And remember,  Jesus Christ  is Christmas.

Thanks for checking it out… and downloading it.

Peace,

M.

November desktop wallpaper

nov1

I’m excited again… Smashing Magazine published another desktop wallpaper I was inspired to design.

nov1BIG

I took this picture in 2006 of Little Horse Creek near my house.  The fall colors are simply beautiful and breath-taking.  It is a reminder to me that although seasons change, like life, there is hope of a new day – spring – new life.  And in spite of economic pressures and challenges, November is a month for gratefulness.  Give thanks today and everyday.

Download it, enjoy it, and pass it on…     thanks!!!

SOYBS: Written Word

on-purpose-and-with-purpose2

This was my first Step Outside Your Box Saturdays challenge. The objective was to use one word – once or several times – to create a unique image. I chose the word purpose. Like me, this piece was created on purpose and with purpose. Once again I used PSE to create my piece.

MMM prompt: Rep my country…

my-country

This is my first piece for the Mixed Media Monday challenge (art that represents my country). While I am a digital artist, I used a combination of techniques to achieve my mixed media presentation. This piece reps the United States of America. In spite of the recent economy, I believe the US is still woven (U) together with glamorous (S) and plain (A) folks. The sparkles speak of youth and excitement. And the random green grass is indicative of growth and new life.

Thanks MMM for the challenge. I’ll be back…

IMT prompt: PEELING PAINT

peelingpaint

…designed to inspire and remind me that I am created in His image.  And that my hope is built on a solid foundation of peace and love.  I took this pic of a wall on an abandon building.  I added the text and special effects in PSE.

IMT prompt: BREAKFAST

breakfast4

My poem summarizes my excitement and new energy after watching the Presidential inaugural events on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009. The pic of my laptop tuned in to a video clip from CNN and the breakfast foods speaks preparation for my new day (life).
